Mission Statement: Using ONLY fully certified guides, we provide products to enable you to explore the mountains in as safe of a manner as possible on your own. No other climbing school in the United States has such rigorous standards for their instructors, and as such, you can guarantee that the skills you learn are updated common best practices to keep you safe in an ever-changing mountain environment.

What sets us apart:

• EVERY staff member is fully certified in the discipline of mountain craft that you are taking a course on: Many other companies have members of the staff that are certified, but these may only be 1 or a few members of the guide team. Here at Mountain Safety Education, we will guarantee you will work with an AMGA-certified guide in the course that you will receive training in.

• Our techniques we teach are data-driven: We are mountain risk management researchers dedicated towards learning the most about mountain risk management topics. Most of our guide staff are invested in research projects related to mountain safety, & many regularly present at international conferences related to mountain risk management. We believe that by staying up-to-date with the most current best practices that we can have the largest available toolkit available to manage an inherently dangerous mountain environment.

• We believe the mountains are dangerous, but that by learning about the hazards presented you can explore them in a rewarding, but low risk manner for a lifetime: We are all career mountain guides driven to exploring the mountains for our entire lives. We acknowledge the risk that is inherent to mountain activities & decide to adopt conservative travel practices to stack the odds in our favor to do these activities for our entire lives. Many of our guides have been involved in the activity for 20+ years, & have learned to adopt & teach practices that support sustainability in the sport.
